Developing Skills Towards Autonomy
- Description
In this course, participants will explore the skills that students need to cultivate to become autonomous learners. They will have the opportunity to reflect on the concept of ""skill development"" and its implications, examine how developing these skills contributes to autonomous learning and an improved quality of life, and become acquainted with assessment methods that support the enhancement of autonomous learning skills. The course's content is largely based on research and techniques associated with Fontan Relational Education (FRE), which is a personalized and autonomous educational model proven to enhance students' academic performance. The FRE model, along with the various stages of learning, will be covered, similar to what was presented in the first course of this series, Nurturing Autonomous Learners.
This course is worth 15 PD clock hours or 1 graduate-level credit.
